Bright Tomato Marinade - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. minced fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried whole basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
3/4 tsp. minced fresh thyme or 1/4 tsp. dried whole thyme
5 medium tomatoes
1 medium onion, diced
Preparation

Combine first 8 ingredients in a jar.
Cover tightly and shake vigorously. Combine tomatoes and onion in a shallow container. Pour dressing over vegetables. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours.
To serve, use slotted spoon.
Yields 8 to 10 servings.
