Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. hot water
    2 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg.
    Mix molasses with water. Add dry ingredients, alternately with water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
