One Hour Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. warm water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. yeast
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Stir yeast mix into dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Turn onto floured board; knead until smooth.
    Roll 1/4-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.
    Spread with butter.
    Fold double; place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Let rise 1 hour.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Makes about 2 dozen rolls.
