Los Patios Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    2 to 3 chopped green onions
    3 sticks chopped celery with tops
    2 grated carrots
    2 cans chicken broth
    2 cans cream of potato soup
    1 peeled and diced medium potato
    8 oz. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    8 oz. sour cream
    sliced jalapenos to taste (optional)
Preparation
    Saute onions, celery, carrots, potato and jalapenos in melted butter or margarine.
    Add broth.
    Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
