Best Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream shortening and butter. Add sugar and cream until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time while mixing. Sift baking powder into flour and add to mixture alternately with milk. When mixture is well blended, add vanilla and lemon extract. Mix well. Bake at 350\u00b0 in a tube pan 1 hour and 20 minutes. Do not open oven door during baking time.
