Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    3/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour, salt, soda and spices; stir lightly. Cut in shortening.
    Stir in molasses and egg.
    Shape dough into a ball.
    Roll out and cut.
    Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Can be rolled in powdered sugar.
