Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. raisins
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 c. cold water
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
1 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. candied pineapple
1/2 lb. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Stew raisins in 1 cup water for 15 minutes.
Put baking soda in 1 cup cold water.
Add remaining ingredients.
Mix well.
Pour into greased bread pans.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour until a toothpick comes out clean.
