Company Best Pickles(Chunk) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 medium cucumbers
    8 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spice
    5 tsp. salt
    4 c. cider vinegar
Preparation
    Cover whole cucumbers with boiling water; allow to stand until the next morning.
    Drain.
    Repeat for the next 3 mornings.
    On the fifth day, drain and slice in 1/2-inch pieces.
    Combine sugar, spice and vinegar; bring to a boil and pour over cucumbers.
    Let stand for 2 days.
    On the third day, bring to a boil and seal in hot jars.
