Chicken Fried Round Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. beef round steak (1/2-inch thick)
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. cooking oil
    1 egg
    1 c. finely crushed saltines (28 crackers)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Pound steak to 1/4-inch thickness.
    Cut into 6 pieces.
    Stir together the egg and milk.
    Combine cracker crumbs, salt and pepper.
    Dip meat into egg mixture, then in crumbs.
    In a 12-inch skillet, brown meat in hot oil.
    Turn once; cover and cook over low heat for 45 to 50 minutes, until tender.
