Hearty Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. beef broth
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1 tsp. dried oregano
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 (15 oz.) can black beans
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large carrot, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 c. frozen peas
    1 c. elbow macaroni
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Place broth, water, tomatoes, basil, oregano and pepper in 4-quart saucepan.
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Meanwhile, drain and rinse beans well under cold water in a colander.
    Add beans, onion, carrot, garlic, peas and macaroni to the boiling broth. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until macaroni is cooked, about 12 to 15 minutes.
    Divide cheese among 6 bowls; pour piping hot soup over cheese.
    Serve with Italian bread and a salad.
    Makes 6 servings.
