Flour Tortillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour (Martha White suggested)
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
    Cut in shortening.
    Add water slowly while kneading until soft dough is formed.
    Divide dough into 12 to 14 balls.
    Roll out each on a lightly floured board to form a 6-inch circle.
    Bake on ungreased griddle until lightly browned on each side.
    Keep dough covered while rolling out tortillas.
