Pete'S Crab Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped celery
    5 Tbsp. butter (2 uses)
    12 oz. crab meat, drained
    1 1/4 c. Italian bread crumbs
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
    1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/8 tsp. ground white pepper
Preparation
    In a large skillet, saute onion and celery in 1 tablespoon butter for 3 minutes.
    In a medium bowl, combine onion and celery mixture, crab meat, 3/4 cup bread crumbs, mayonnaise, egg, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
    Mix well and shape into 4 patties.
    Coat with remaining 1/2 cup bread crumbs, pressing crumbs into patties.
    In same large skillet over medium heat, melt remaining 4 tablespoons butter.
    Fry patties in butter until golden brown on both sides, about 8 to 9 minutes total.
    Makes 4 crab cakes.
