My Mother'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. softened butter
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    5 eggs
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. Softasilk flour
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. yellow cake coloring (optional)
    2 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring or lemon flavoring (your choice)
Preparation
    Have butter at room temperature.
    Blend sugar, butter and 1 egg at a time.
    Add cream and flour.
    Beat until smooth.
    Pour into greased and floured tube cake pan.
    Bake 1 hour at 275\u00b0, then 30 minutes on 300\u00b0.
