Clam Chowder From The Old Pine Tree Inn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 doz. large clams
    2/3 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2/3 c. chopped celery
    2 c. diced potato
    1 qt. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. chopped parsley
    2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Steam clams and reserve liquid.
    Chop clams and set aside. In a large pot, saute onion in oil until clear, not brown.
    Add celery, potatoes, water, reserved clam juice and clams; simmer until celery and potatoes are done.
    Add remaining ingredients. Yield: 3 quarts.
