Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. lukewarm water
    5 c. self-rising flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda (added to buttermilk)
Preparation
    Mix together
    the
    flour
    and sugar. Cut in the Crisco. Add the
    buttermilk and soda mixture to the yeast mixture.
    Do not let rise.
    Roll out on pastry sheet and cut biscuits. Bake at 450\u00b0 until brown.
    Or these may be stored in greased, large mixing bowl in
    refrigerator
    and
    baked as needed.
    Makes 25 biscuits.
