Old-Fashioned Noodles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
3 Tbsp. shortening
5 Tbsp. water
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
chicken or meat stock
Preparation

Combine flour, beaten egg, shortening, salt and water; mix until dough is soft.
Divide into three parts.
Roll out very thin; let dough dry for 20 minutes.
Cut in small strips; drop in broth.
Cook noodles until tender; stir.
Makes 6 servings.
