Florida Chiffon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope (1 Tbsp.) unflavored gelatin
    1/2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    4 egg yolks
    1/2 c. orange juice
    1/2 c. lime juice (I have substituted lemon juice)
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. grated orange peel
    4 egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix gelatin, sugar and salt in saucepan.
    Beat egg yolks, lime and orange juice and water; stir into gelatin mixture.
    Cook and stir just until mixture boils.
    Remove from heat; cool to room temperature and stir in peel.
    Chill, stirring occasionally, until mixture mounds slightly when spooned.
    Beat egg whites to soft peaks.
    Slowly add remaining 1/2 cup sugar, beating to stiff peaks. Fold in gelatin mixture.
    Pile into baked, cooled 9-inch pastry shell.
    Chill until firm.
    Serve with whipped cream (good without the cream, too).
    This makes a very high pie!
