Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. brown sugar, packed
6 pineapple rings
2 egg yolks, well beaten
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Combine brown sugar and butter in an 8-inch frying pan or cake pan.
Stir over low heat until thoroughly mixed.
Arrange fruit in this mixture. Stir sugar slowly into beaten egg yolks and add hot water slowly. Beat well.
Add vanilla and sifted dry ingredients, mixing well. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
