24-Hour Slaw(Keeps 3 Weeks In Refrigerator.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage, shredded
    1 large purple onion, diced
    1 large green pepper, diced
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. oil
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. celery seed
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil vinegar, sugar, mustard, celery seed, salt and pepper until sugar dissolves.
    Add oil.
    Put cabbage, onion and green pepper in a large bowl.
    Pour liquid mixture over dry vegetables. Do not stir.
    Store in refrigerator at least 24 hours before serving.
    Stir gently before serving.
