Italian Cream Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. flour
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 stick butter
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small can shredded coconut
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening; add sugar and beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat until smooth.
    Combine flour and soda; add to creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla. Add nuts and coconut.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
    Bake for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until tests done.
