Chicken Fricassee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large chicken, cut up
    1 large onion, chopped
    3/4 c. canola oil
    1 c. flour
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. green onion tops, chopped
Preparation
    Dredge chicken in flour, salt and pepper.
    Brown chicken in oil.
    Remove chicken; brown onion in oil.
    Put chicken back in oil.
    Add about 1 1/2-quarts of water.
    Let cook until chicken is tender, stirring to keep from sticking.
    Should be thick gravy. Ten minutes before serving, add green onion tops.
