Ingredients

2 (1 lb.) cans diced beets, drained
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple tidbits
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
4 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
2 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

Mix sugar, salt, cornstarch and cloves.
Add vinegar.
Pour over pineapple.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
Add beets and margarine.
Cook until thick.
Cool. Refrigerate overnight.
Heat before serving.
Great with chicken.
