Cherokee Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/8 tsp. oregano
    1 (16 oz.) can diced tomatoes
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. rice
    olives
    shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/8 tsp. ground thyme
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and onions.
    Drain well.
    Add spices, tomatoes, soup and rice.
    Stir well.
    Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Stir in sliced olives.
    Cover with shredded cheese. Cover and let stand until cheese melts.
    Serve hot.
