Lemon Filled Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    3 c. cake flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 egg whites, beaten
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add this alternately with 1 cup milk.
    Fold in 6 beaten egg whites.
    Pour batter into 3 (9-inch) cake pans that have been greased and floured.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
