Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal milk
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 doz. eggs
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    8 large marshmallows
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch with sugar.
    Heat milk over hot water.
    Stir in sugar and cornstarch.
    Then pour milk mixture over beaten egg. Return to double boiler until mixture coats spoon.
    Add marshmallows and vanilla.
    Strain and cool.
