Mrs. Cobb'S Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans Colossal green asparagus
    2 cans small hearts of artichokes
    1 (No. 2) can water chestnuts
    1/2 lb. butter
    juice from vegetables
    2 c. New York State cheese, grated
    1/2 c. sherry
    salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste
    almonds
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Brown flour slowly in butter.
    Add juice from vegetables.
    If too thick, add a small amount of water.
    Add grated cheese and sherry.
    Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Combine with other ingredients in a casserole dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Serve hot.
