Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter (never margarine)
    1 c. granulated sugar
    4 c. flour plus (until right consistency)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Gradually add flour until very thick. Pat smooth in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Make holes with fork as for one crust pie.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
