Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    2 boxes vanilla instant
    1 can cherry or strawberry pie filling
    2 large cans crushed pineapple, drained
    1 large container Cool Whip
    1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Prepare cake and pudding according to package directions. Break cake into small pieces.
    Lay part of cake in bottom of punch bowl.
    Pour half of pudding over cake, then put another layer of cake.
    Add rest of pudding, pineapple and pie filling.
    Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with nuts.
