Homemade Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    10 c. water
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    5 1/2 to 6 lb. apples, sliced
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, blend sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
    Stir in water.
    Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Add lemon juice.
