Fried Fresh Peach Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. chopped fresh Georgia peaches
    1/4 tsp. almond flavoring (optional)
    3/4 c. water
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Combine cornstarch and water in measuring cup and stir until dissolved.
    Place sugar and salt in medium saucepan; add water and cornstarch mixture.
    Stir over low heat until thick and clear. Add flavoring and peaches and set aside while preparing the pastry.
