Okra Pilau - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 doz. tender okra
    1/4 lb. salt pork
    2 large tomatoes
    1 medium-sized onion
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Slice pork, cut
    up okra, onion and tomatoes, should be steamed for half
    an
    hour.
    Cook rice in boiling water.
    When rice is done, add
    to
    mixture
    of pork, okra, onion and tomatoes. Add seasonings, cook until dry.
