Rhubarb Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
milk
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 Tbsp. lard
soft butter
sugar
rhubarb, finely cut
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water
nutmeg, dash
Preparation

Sift together 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt and baking powder. Into this work lard, then add milk and mix well.
Roll dough to 1/4-inch.
Spread thick with soft butter, sugar and rhubarb. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Roll as you would cinnamon rolls and cut into 1 1/2 to 2-inch slices.
Place in pan; pour sweet sauce over and around them.
Bake in moderate oven.
