Chess Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. self-rising cornmeal
2 Tbsp. flour
5 egg yolks
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 deep dish pie crust
Preparation

Mix sugar, flour and cornmeal thoroughly.
Cream butter and gradually add sugar mixture.
Add beaten eggs to which milk and vanilla have been added.
Pour into unbaked pie shell and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 (preheated) for 15 minutes, then lower to 350\u00b0 and continue baking until firm, 50 to 60 minutes.
Cool thoroughly at room temperature.
