Corn Bread Sticks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg
1 1/2 Tbsp. liquid shortening
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. white all-purpose flour
1 c. corn meal
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Beat egg, sugar and liquid shortening together.
Sift flour and corn meal with salt and baking powder.
Then gradually add to the egg mixture alternately with the buttermilk.
Pour into greased, hot iron corn stick pans and bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Makes 12 sticks.
