Ragout Raleigh - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    bacon
    1 lb. round steak
    salt and pepper
    3 carrots, sliced paper thin
    1 medium onion, sliced
    3 to 4 potatoes, thinly sliced
    parsley flakes
Preparation
    In a very heavy skillet, arrange half-strips of bacon over entire bottom.
    Cut strips of round steak and put on top of bacon. Add salt and pepper.
    Cover meat with sliced carrots and onions; top with potatoes.
    Add salt, pepper and parsley flakes.
    Cover and cook over low heat for 2 hours to 2 1/2 hours or until done.
