Fern'S Batter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 large can evaporated milk
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. oil
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Blend in ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar; let stand in warm place until mixture begins to bubble.
    Using an electric mixer, stir in remaining 2 tablespoons sugar, milk, salt, oil and 3 cups flour.
    Blend in remaining cup of flour with spoon; knead on floured surface. Place dough in 2 well-greased one-pound coffee cans.
    Place plastic lids on cans; let dough rise until lids are pushed off. Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
    Delicious frozen and reheated.
