Carolina Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. chopped cabbage
    12 green sweet peppers, chopped
    1 c. salt
    4 c. chopped onions
    6 red sweet peppers, chopped
    2 pods hot pepper, chopped
    4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric powder
Preparation
    Mix and let set overnight the cabbage, green sweet peppers, salt, onions, red sweet peppers and hot pepper.
    The next day, rinse real well.
    Put 1 quart of vinegar in large saucepan.
    Add sugar, celery seed, mustard seed and turmeric powder.
    Bring this mixture to a boil.
    Add relish mix.
    Get real hot, but do not boil. Pack into hot jars and seal.
