Upside-Down Beef Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. celery seed
1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
6 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. milk
Preparation

Brown onion and beef in iron skillet.
Cook until crumbly but not hard.
Drain grease well.
Add seasonings and soup and simmer until thickened.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk and mix well.
Pour batter over hot mixture in skillet.
Put skillet into oven and bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until top is golden brown.
Cover with warm serving plate. Invert and remove skillet.
