Apple Crisp - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 cooking apples
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. to 1 Tbsp. lemon juice (depending on tartness of apples)
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
Preparation

Peel and slice apples in a buttered 9-inch square pan. Sprinkle spices, lemon juice and water.
Mix sugar and flour in bowl; work in butter until mixture is crumbly.
Spread over fruit. Bake uncovered in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for about an hour or until fruit is tender and mixture is slightly browned.
Serve warm with whipped cream.
