White Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (Crisco)
    3 c. sifted, plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 lb. white chocolate
    3/4 c. milk
    6 eggs (I use jumbo)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a large mixer bowl, cream the shortening and sugar, beating well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Melt white chocolate in double boiler or microwave.
    (Microwave on High for 2 minutes and stir until thoroughly smooth.)
    Cool and add to shortening-sugar mixture.
    Sift flour and baking powder together.
    Add vanilla flavoring.
    Bake in a large tube pan (10-inch), greased and floured, in a preheated oven at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
    Test for doneness by inserting a straw or toothpick.
