Light Old Fashioned Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 lb. pecans
1 3/4 c. chopped candied pineapple
1 lb. golden raisins
3/4 lb. chopped candied cherries
1 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 oz. bottle brandy flavoring
Preparation

Mix until all fruit and nuts are well coated with dry ingredients.
Set aside.
Cream butter.
Gradually add sugar; cream until light and fluffy.
Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each.
Add brandy flavoring to mixture.
Mix with the fruit, nut, flour mixture.
Mix until well blended.
Turn into 10-inch tube pan.
Bake 1 1/2 hours at 275\u00b0.
About 1/2 hour before cake is done, brush top with honey.
Decorate with fruit and nuts.
