Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    6 egg whites
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sugar
    6 egg yolks
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift
    together
    flour,
    sugar,
    baking powder and salt. Beat egg whites until frothy.
    Add cream of tartar.
    Gradually beat 1/2
    cup
    sugar,
    little at time.
    Beat until stiff peak forms. In
    a small bowl, combine egg yolk, water, vanilla and dry ingredients.
    Beat 4 minutes, fold yolk mixture gently in beaten egg whites.
    Bake in tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
