Sweet Yeast Dough Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. yeast
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    5 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Soften yeast in lukewarm water; scald milk.
    Add shortening, sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm.
    Add 2 cups flour; mix well. Add softened yeast and eggs; beat well.
    Add enough flour to make soft dough.
    Turn out on lightly floured board.
    Knead until satiny.
    Place in greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and shape into rolls or coffee cake.
    Let rise until double in bulk.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Makes 3 dozen.
