Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. cherry juice
    1 c. sugar
    4 tbsp. cornstarch
    dash salt
    3 Tbsp. butter
    few drops red food coloring
    3 c. canned, pitted sour cherries, drained
    1 recipe plain pastry
Preparation
    Combine juices, 1/2 c. sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Cook until thick.
    Add butter and remaining sugar, food coloring.
    Pour over cherries in pastry lined pie pan.
    Put a top crust.
    Bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    If not sweet enough, sweeten to taste.
