Chili Con Cashews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 onions, chopped
    1 to 2 Tbsp. oil
    2 to 3 c. chopped tomatoes with liquid
    2 to 3 c. kidney beans, cooked
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 to 2 carrots, grated
    1 to 2 green peppers, chopped
    1 c. raw cashews
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 c. raisins
Preparation
    Saute garlic and vegetables (except tomatoes) in oil.
    Add nuts, beans, tomatoes, seasonings and raisins.
    Simmer for 2 hours in covered pot or in slow cooker.
    Serve over cornbread or pasta, or with fresh bread or rolls.
