Apple Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. milk
    oil (for frying)
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 apples, diced
    powdered sugar or maple syrup
Preparation
    Beat egg and milk into dry ingredients. Stir in apples and drop by teaspoonful into hot oil.
    Fry until golden brown, approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
    Drain on paper towels, then roll in powdered sugar or pour maple syrup over the fritters.
    Makes 12 to 15 fritters.
