Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. pitted dates
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. candied cherries
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 lb. pecan halves
Preparation

Cut dates and pineapple into fine pieces.
Cut half of the cherries into 1/4 pieces and reserve the rest as whole.
Mix well and set aside.
Beat together eggs and sugar.
Add flour and baking powder, mix well and add fruit and mix well.
Add pecan halves. Preheat oven to 275\u00b0.
Pour batter into 1 large tube pan that has be sprayed with oil.
Bake 3 hours or use 1 pound loaf pan and bake 1 1/2 hours.
