Penuche - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 can evaporated milk
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. peanut butter
Preparation
    Boil sugar, milk and salt until it forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Remove from heat and stir in butter, vanilla and peanut butter.
    Beat until it cools slightly and thickens.
    Add nuts and spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cool.
