Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. ground beef
    1 large chopped onion
    1 to 2 cans chopped green chilies
    1 can pinto beans (use jalapeno style if you desire hotter soup)
    2 cans yellow hominy
    1 pkg. reduced calorie Ranch dip
    1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in large pot.
    Add rest of ingredients (do not drain canned items).
    Simmer about 30 minutes.
