Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. salt
6 Tbsp. chopped onion
1 beaten egg
1 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix and sift all dry ingredients.
Add onion.
Combine egg and milk; add to dry ingredients.
Drop by spoonfuls into hot grease until they float.
Turn as necessary.
